"Last throes"

In the aftermath of the National Press Club interview yesterday in which Dick Cheney rewrote history to erase his "last throes" comment from a year ago, and reiterated that the insurgency is in its last throes, the only thing in its last throes was the lives of the two GIs who had been kidnapped by insurgency:

Two missing U.S. soldiers in Iraq have been killed and their bodies were found, the spokesman for Iraq's Defense Ministry said today.

"The two soldiers were killed and they were found in Yusufiya near an electricity plant," Major General Abdul Aziz Mohammed told a news conference in Baghdad.

He did not say when the soldiers were killed or when their bodies were found.

How much more American blood has to be spilled in Iraq before Dick Cheney gets his fill?
